The Older Adult Home Modification Program helps older adults remain safely and independently in their homes by providing accessibility modifications that reduce fall risks and improve daily living.
This program is funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). There is no cost to eligible participants. Age and income requirements apply.
This program services Snohomish County residents.
No Cost to Eligible Participants. Income and age limits apply.
Services We Offer:
- Home modification assessments completed by a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Accessibility modifications – shower transfer benches, handheld shower heads, raised toilet seats, risers for chairs and sofas, and non-slip strips for tub/shower or stairs, grab bars, improved lighting, and more!
- Also, smoke alarms/carbon monoxide detectors – testing, installations and replacements.

Who Is Eligible?
Low- and moderate-income homeowners and renters (with landlord approval) 62 and older. This program serves Snohomish County residents.
